Summer fun

Sorry it's been awhile!  Summer fun has caught up to me,  a  lot has been going on!   We've been enjoying memberships to places, the beach, visitors.

Facebook group seems to be going well!  A  lot more activities are being created, and thank you all for doing that, it has made my life easier!  The group now is getting word by mouth which is great!

Sorry been awhile and a few updates!

As of June 13th Chic moms was 6 months old !  So happy belated 6 months to Chic moms and all the awesome members in it! Without you guys I wouldn't have a moms group that has turned into much more then I ever expected, so Thank you!

Sorry been awhile , has been a little hectic around this house!  I am going to try to be coming up with blogs each week, mostly to give my reviews on things around the area that I go too.  I have had a few people email me and tell me that story book land review was nice to read and gave them some feedback so I thought I would review on other things around the area!

I'm also switching to facebook groups, which is a private group , totally confident.  I just feel a little safer with it because the people on meet up don't always have a picture at least with facebook I can see a profile picture, plus I feel that more people are on facebook and forget to log onto meet up.   I also feel like people might be a little more active with the group.  

A few questions that I will answer about facebook group!

1.  Anyone can post an event in the group. (just make sure you make it private)

2.  Anyone can write on the groups wall (this way i think it will make it more active)

3.  you DO not have to be friends with anyone you don't want to be, so don't feel like you need to add everyone in the group.

4.  Please remember if your meeting someone for the first time (unless i have met them) to meet in a public place, I can NOT always meet the members before hand, so please take that into consideration.

5.  Remember we are all here to make friends and have our kids make friends, so I hope you enjoy it!


As of July 13th, I will be taking Chic mom's down from meet up, unless they give me some kind of deal (which i'm not counting on it)

I have to take a minute to thank you all again for joining Chic moms.  I have found some pretty amazing friends and so have my kids, it has really a great group!


Thank you all for the support and I hope the group continue to grow and there will be new friendships made!

New use for old things!

I personally do the baby jar foods, I also do the egg crates and do the make up bags, but other things are really neat to use (not the lint thing, that's just weird) but other stuff is cool!

Storybook Land!

A lot of mom's have been wanting to go to Storybook land or have went and said it was a great time.  Since we are doing our stayaction we went today! Here are my reviews on it.

1. It was brand new looking, in great shape, the rides were in excellent condition, everything was freshly painted. The park was also very clean!
2. I thought it was over priced for a 2 year old.  Rozzy (17 months old) was too short for most rides and fell asleep though the park anyways, so why pay for 1 and over? Esp since some one year old's can't walk yet.  I think they should sell ticket's if you want for some and wrist bands for the 2 and older, in my opinion.    $21.95 was the price per person! Was $92.00 for a family.  I wouldn't do this park a ton but maybe 2 times a year would be nice! I mean if you go to a local carnival you spend about $50.00 just in a night, and the rides aren't in that great of condition.
3. Lots and lots of shade, I loved it! there was trees all around!  I really couldn't get over at how much shade there was, I wasn't expecting that. 
4. If you go in the end of school year time like in May a lot of schools are doing field trips, Go around 11ish, because most of the schools are leaving around 1ish, So we got there about 11:30 and then ate around 1:15 and after we were done it was basically cleared out.    I also heard in September they do discounts after a certain time (not sure about that ).  
5. Super cute for kids 2-5 years! 
6. Food prices were like any other park, a bottle of soda was $2.00 ,  Funnel cake was $4.95, i just happened to see the prices as we went by. We took our lunch they have picnics throughout the park and most of them are covered! But hey if you went to a local carnival or boardwalk you pay that price for food too! 
7. They also have a little splash park but it wasn't opened yet , must be after memorial day it opens.  I would go during the weekday if i were you, it could get crowded during the weekend.
8. Loved the theme to it, so many cute little things to look into, the goats, the jack and Jill hill, and so much MORE! 

All in all we had a great time and a wonderful day as a family,  lots of memories to be made. I'm sure if we lived closer we would buy a season pass.  Skye had a blast, we will prob go again after Labor day weekend! If you all go , please tell me what you thought of the park!

Both my kids get the recommended sleep when Skye does go to sleep shes down for at least 12 hours same with Rozzy.   they do wake up a few times but don't get up until later so i guess it equals out! Thought it was a neat article to pass on.

Staycation!

My husband took off the week for vacation, well we decided to do a Staycation , first he only took off 3 days and then we just wanted to do so much that he extended it !   We have gone to the please touch, beach day, picked strawberries and even did that little carnival at maple shade!  It's been so nice, no packing clothes, no unpacking , and there is so much to do just in south jersey/philly area all within an hour and half driving distance. It has actually worked out cheaper then a vacation.  Yes, it's nice to go on vacation we are doing our nice one at the end of september but it was nice just to take a week and just do things around here. So much to do I could do something different everyday! Tomorrow we are going to Story book land and then Friday we are just doing things around the house!  Been super fun and exhausting at the same time, the girls have been enjoying it!

So you don't really need to go on a "vacation" to have fun!
